The deadline for guest student programme applications is normally JANUARY 15 each year. Complete applications must be registered at the new application platform http://www.universityadmissions.se no later than this date. The application is usually opened the first week day in December.

 

What to submit when you apply (enclosures): 

IN THE ON-LINE APPLICATION SYSTEM: (Follow the instructions in the on-line system).

• Application on-line

• Verified copy of passport has to be submitted of all non-Swedish citizens if the on-line application should be valid.

• Verified copies of upper secondary education degrees and relevant higher education certificates have also to be submitted in the on-line system.

 

ADDITIONAL REQUESTED WORK SAMPLES/MATERIAL to be sent by post direct to KMH:

• Applicants to KMH guest student programme should also send a good quality, unedited recording (maximum 10 minutes) of your playing/singing, containing three different pieces/movements demonstrating different genres/styles/époques on your main instrument.

 

Conducting

Applicants to conducting programmes shall send a good quality video/DVD of a concert or rehearsal clearly marked with the applicant’s name. The camera should be focused on the conductor from the front, i.e. as seen by the orchestra or choir members. On the basis of the videos/DVDs submitted, some applicants will be selected and invited to personally participate in the entrance examinations held in Stockholm in March each year. (Applicants to any KMH conducting programme including guest student programme must personally participate in entrance examinations in order to be accepted. It is not possible to apply to KMH conducting programmes only by recording/video/DVD!)
