An evening where sound becomes both story and exploration. In this graduation concert, electroacoustic music meets narrative composition.

Welcome to an evening where sound becomes both story and exploration. In this concert, electroacoustic music meets narrative composition.

Louisa Palmi and Kristin Rosendahl, both graduates of the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, unite their artistic voices through their new studio, Palmi & Rosendahl, based in Tromsø, Northern Norway. Palmi’s approach to electroacoustic music intertwines with Rosendahl’s narrative-driven compositions for film and theatre, creating an experience that is immersive, thoughtful, and cinematic.

Louisa Palmi is a composer, artist, and digital orchestra conductor working with electronics, electroacoustics, field recordings, and 3D sound technology to create deeply immersive audio experiences. With a background spanning music, mathematics, and medicine, she integrates scientific perspectives into her art. Her work is highly interdisciplinary, often merging artistic methods with scientific research and cross-disciplinary collaboration to explore new ways of perceiving and understanding complex phenomena. Her compositions have been presented at venues and festivals across Europe, including IRCAM, MA/IN, and Tallinn Music Week.

Kristin Rosendahl is a composer and musician who primarily writes for theatre and film. Melodically oriented, she values the meeting point between live musicians and composed material. She has a particular interest in narrative music, collaborative creative processes, and composing music that is integral to a larger artistic whole. With roots in the international queer scene—including as founder of the Queer Orchestra in Gothenburg—she has collaborated with and composed for Kvalitetsteatern, Malmö Stadsteater, and Lasse Långström, among others.

During the concert, she will present excerpts from her compositions for the films Fish out of Water (Ronson Huynh), Nyheterna(Caroline Ringskog Ferrada-Noli), and Mother Creature (Maria Guldbrandsø Tórgarð).

Participating musicians:
Kristin Rosendahl - piano
