The Future of the Music Industry
How will the music industry of the future evolve? Which skills, perspectives and ways of working will be most important in a time characterised by rapid technological change? On 19 May, KMH, in collaboration with the USC Thornton School of Music, invites you to a morning seminar on the music industry, innovation and the future of creative work. The seminar will be held in English.
Voices from music production, entrepreneurship and research come together to explore how creativity, technology and entrepreneurship interact in an industry undergoing profound transformation. As AI reshapes the way we analyse, create, distribute and monetise content, knowledge and execution are no longer scarce resources – they are automated, and what once constituted a competitive advantage has become standard practice.
So what creates sustainable competitive advantages today, and what will drive development going forward?
During the seminar, you will meet:
Thomas Arctaedius, Adjunct Professor of Entrepreneurship at KMH, who will speak about artistic entrepreneurship and how creativity, innovation and sustainability can contribute to meaningful change and a more inclusive society.
Amy Blackman, Adjunct Professor of Strategy and Leadership at USC Thornton School of Music, who will present Human Advantage and highlight the importance of human strengths such as judgement, sense-making and collaboration between people and technology.
J-O Gullö, Professor of Music and Media Production at KMH, who will share perspectives on music production, technological development and the future of creative processes from a Swedish context.
You are warmly invited to an inspiring and forward-looking morning dedicated to creativity, innovation and the future of music.
