At present, KMH has a number of PhD students linked to collaborations with other higher education institutions. In the following, each PhD student's ongoing dissertation work is being presented with a brief description of the purpose, method and results of the work so far.
PhD Students in Music
KMH has four so-called Industrial PhD students in music – Torbjörn Gulz, Hans Lindetorp, Olof Misgeld and Mattias Sköld. They pursue research education as competence development within the framework of their positions as teachers at KMH through the formalization of a long-established cooperation between KMH and the KTH Royal Institute of Technology.
Anna Einarsson and Kent Olofsson are at the end of their doctoral studies in music, which take place in collaboration with the Faculty of Arts at Lund University.
PhD Students in Music Education
In addition, doctoral studies in music education are conducted. Peter Falthin, Sören Johansson and Veneta Zaharieva Blendulf do their dissertation work at KMH in cooperation with Stockholm University as a graduate university.
Mikael Persson's doctoral studies are conducted at KMH in collaboration with the Faculty of Arts at Lund University.
