David Mastikosa
David Mastikosa is a younger generation Bosnian composer. In his presentation at KMH, he will talk about the creation of his chamber opera Cherry With a Gold Pit, followed by a discussion on the importance of international collaboration for young composers.
David Mastikosa has been receiving commissions from prominent artists and music festivals across the world. He is one of the most active Bosnian film and media music composers, and he also writes music for short and animated movies as well as theater music.
David Mastikosa completed undergraduate and master studies at the Academy of Arts at the University of Banja Luka. From 2020, he is a senior teaching assistant at the Department of Musical Theory and Pedagogy. Currently, Mastikosa is in his third year of PhD studies of composition at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad.
