"Amplify", Sweden's first incubator for MusicTech companies, now moves to the KMH campus in Stockholm for long-term cooperation.

Amplify will, among other things, help MusicTech companies and creators to develop new products or services in the global music industry and help musicians become better entrepreneurs.

Strong partners like KMH, Sting, Swedbank and Sony Music Entertainment are included from the start.

The first incubator companies Gestrument and Stagecast and the member company We are Voice are in place. Among former companies, you also find the mobile record company Amuse.

Sweden's music life is unique! Whether it concerns creativity, technology, or production, Sweden is world-leading. For a long time, however, an incubator with focus on music has been lacking.

The new KMH is the hub of Sweden's first MusicTech incubator - "Amplify". The purpose is to help young companies develop new products and services in the global music industry. For example, there may be new ways to consume music, music rights management & royalties, data, AI, music education, social platforms and music curation.

Amplify is founded by Martin Gemvik and David Stenmarck and has attached a team that together can give the incubators a strong start position on the market.

Martin Gemvik is one of Sweden's most experienced investors with 25 years of experience in early-stage companies.

David Stenmarck is the founder of, among other things, Ladies Night and Epidemic Sound. David is also a recognized songwriter and producer.

Andreas Liffgarden is the founder and chairman of Soundtrack Your Brand and was an employed at an early stage by Spotify.

Åsa Otterlund is an investor with extensive entrepreneurial experience, including music, media and corporate governance. Åsa Otterlund takes the role of CEO.

Karl Mikael Cakste is an entrepreneur with extensive experience from the media and entertainment industry.

Amplify has now its own premises at KMH's new campus at Valhallavägen 105 in Stockholm. The MusicTech incubator is a natural last step in the chain consisting of KMH's educational offering, KMH's innovation office and now also the incubator business. This is within the framework of KMH's ArtyBusiness idea platform.

Amplify welcomes MusicTech teams from across the country to apply for incubator support.

– We educate music performers and music teachers of the highest quality, says Professor Staffan Scheja, KMH's Pro Vice-Chancellor.

– But today it is not obvious that the only jobs for our students are in permanent ensembles, or as composers, organizers or music teachers. The landscape and prerequisites for music production and music consumption are changing rapidly, and now more and more individuals are looking for an increasingly free music market. Therefore, we want to strengthen the offer to the students with an incubator that has a clear focus on music and the possibilities of music.
