If you injure yourself

As a student at KMH, you are insured during school hours and when travelling to and from school. You report the injury to Kammarkollegiet.

The insurance you have through Kammarkollegiet is an accident insurance. It applies if you are involved in an accident and sustain a physical injury.

The insurance covers:

  • When you are in KMH’s premises and on the campus area during school hours.
  • When you are practicing at KMH.
  • When you are on an internship or at a workplace that the school has approved.
  • When you are traveling to or from KMH.
  • For distance learning if the accident is directly related to the studies being carried out.

The insurance does not cover:

  • If you participate in an activity organized by someone other than KMH.
  • When you are at school during your free time.
  • If you make a stop on the way to or from school.
  • If your instrument is damaged or stolen.
  • If an instrument you have borrowed long-term from KMH is damaged or stolen.

Insurance for studies abroad

You are insured through Kammarkollegiet when studying or doing an internship abroad at a higher education institution that KMH has an agreement with.

The insurance applies if:

  • You become ill or are involved in an accident. It covers, for example, emergency medical and dental care, and transportation back to Sweden if necessary.
  • You injure yourself while participating in extreme sports such as diving, mountain climbing, or surfing.
  • You sustain life-threatening injuries or illness, or if you pass away, the insurance covers travel for two relatives to visit you.

The insurance does not cover:

  • Regular check-ups or medications for illnesses that existed before the trip.
