Eurhythmics in music education
Eurhythmics in Sweden has a long tradition. We’ve educated Eurhythmics teachers since the early 1930s at the Dalcroze-seminar, which later became incorporated in the music teacher education at University level in 1978.
The music teacher program in Stockholm and Malmö offers a possibility to major in Eurhythmics. All graduated Eurhythmics teachers are qualified to teach music in the compulsory school since they get a Swedish teacher licence. Music teacher students with other major subjects in Stockholm, Malmö and Örebro and Ingesund, also have courses in Eurhythmics during their 5 year program.
