External collaborations and networks
At KMH, you have the opportunity to collaborate with other students and external partners in various exciting projects and networks. We offer intensive courses, lecture series, and activities that help you develop your skills and provide you with more opportunities to make a living from your music.
As a student, you have the opportunity to collaborate with others both within and outside KMH, nationally and internationally. Participate in activities, lectures and projects with partners from the music industry and business sector. Through cross-disciplinary collaborations and entrepreneurship, you develop the tools to make a living from your music and create valuable connections that can kickstart your career.
Strengthen your career readiness through the Act in Art network
The Act in Art network provides you with the opportunity to participate in activities that, through entrepreneurship, develop and strengthen your readiness for professional life. Together with students and teachers from arts programs in the Nordic and Baltic countries, you will explore various ways of working as an artist in today’s society.
As a student, you can take part in various types of exchanges with partner institutions. This may include participating in courses, workshops, festivals, or other events related to one of the focus areas: artistic entrepreneurship, sustainable development, and cross-disciplinary collaborations.
Every year, a bootcamp is organized for master's students and teachers from the different schools. This is a week-long intensive course where, together with students from other institutions, you will develop the knowledge and tools necessary to work as an artist in today’s society.

Innovation Office "Starthus KMH"
If you are a student or researcher at KMH and have an idea for an innovation of any kind, you can turn to Starthus KMH. There, you will receive free, impartial, and confidential advice and coaching on how to advance your idea.
While studying at KMH, you spend a large part of your time making music in various ways. However, many times, new ideas for products or concepts are also born during your studies. The same applies to researchers—it’s not uncommon for research to lead to discoveries and ideas that can be further developed into innovations.
Starthus KMH is our way of assisting with the development and refinement of the ideas that emerge from our students and researchers.
Collaboration with KTH Innovation
