Avstängt nätverk på KMH mellan 10–24 juli / Network outage at KMH 10-24 July
Under året kommer KMH att byta nätverk. Stora delar av den befintliga utrustningen kommer att bytas ut. Under nätverksbytet kommer internetanslutningen och majoriteten av våra system att ligga nere. Det första driftstoppet är planerat att ske 10–24 juli.
Nätverket byts ut därför att
- utrustningen är gammal
- minska risk för dataintrång och öka IT-säkerheten
- uppfylla de krav som ställs på oss som myndighet
- vi behöver ansluta ljud och ljus till det centrala nätverket (sker vid årsskiftet 2-7 januari 2024).
För att genomföra detta kommer nätverket att vara helt nedstängt 10-24 juli. Det betyder att det inte kommer finnas någon nätverksåtkomst alls på campus Valhallavägen. Samtliga studenter och medarbetare rekommenderas därför att arbeta hemifrån eller på annan plats med internetanslutning under den här perioden.
Campus Edsberg kommer att hålla stängt hela perioden. Sommarens öppettider kommer att uppdateras här.

Vilka tjänster går att använda?
Vissa externa IT-tjänster kommer att kunna nås från annan plats, det gäller exempelvis Office-paketet med Outlook, Word och Teams.
Vilka tjänster ligger nere?
Alla interna IT-tjänster som KMH använder kommer att vara helt otillgängliga, även utanför KMH. Det gäller exempelvis PDB, SPS, interna filservrar och Moodle. En fullständiglista lista med samtliga system kommer att finnas tillgänglig på sidorna nedan.
Hur och när påverkas du?
Exakt när driftstoppen kommer att ske och mer detaljerat kring vilka system som berörs kommer att uppdateras löpande på sidorna nedan. Där kommer du även kunna se hur studenter och medarbetare berörs på Edsberg.
Du kommer kontinuerligt att få viktig information per mejl fram tills att bytet är genomfört.

Network outage at KMH 10-24 July
The network at KMH will be shut down 10-24 July as we are replacing our current network hardware. During this period the internet connection and most of our systems will be down.
The network is being replaced because:
- the equipment is old
- to reduce the risk of data breaches and increase IT security
- to meet the requirements placed on us as an authority
- we need to connect sound and light to the central network (which will take place between January 2-7, 2024).
In order to replace our hardware, the network will be completely shut down during this period. This means that there will be no network access at all on Campus Valhallavägen. Therefore, everyone is recommended to work from home or at another location with internet access during this period.
Campus Edsberg will be closed for the entire period. Summer opening hours will be updated here.
Which services can be used?
Some external IT services will be accessible from other locations, such as the Office suite with Outlook, Word, and Teams.
Which systems will be down?
All internal IT services used by KMH will be completely unavailable, even outside of KMH. This includes, for example, PDB, SPS, internal file servers, and Moodle. A complete list of all systems will be available on the pages below.
When and how will you be affected?
The exact timing of the shutdown and more detailed information about which systems will be affected will be updated regularly on the pages below. There, you will also be able to see how students and staff at Campus Edsberg will be affected.
You will receive important information and updates continuously until the work is completed.
